A song so beautiful that can damage you by The Album Leaf

"Always For You" is a song by The Album Leaf, project of Jimmy LaValle guitarist of u.s. post rock band Tristeza. I don't want to make any comments other than that it's so painfully beautiful..
I will just copy and paste the lyrics here....

In the air I flew
Through the clouds I fall
Through the country I've walked
In front of temples I've stood
Before the ocean I pray
And I said your name

In the air I flew
Through the clouds I fall
And all the things I've tried to say
Were never easy to explain
They were always meant for you

And all the memories that were made
For years and years
I've chased this day
They were always for you
Always for you

In the air I breath
Through the clouds I see
Through the cities I've walk
In the castles I dreamed
On the mountain I climb
When I call your name

In the air I flew
Through the clouds I've fell
And all the things I've tried to change
Were never easy to contain
They were always meant for you
(always for you)

And all the memories will never fade
For years and years
In my heart you'll stay
It was always for you
Always for you
Always for you

And all the pieces that remain
They will build a place for us to stay
They were always meant for you
(always for you)

And all the chances that we take
For years and years
We'll have this place
They were always for you
Always for you

To Build A Home - Cinematic Orchestra

Someone gave me a compilation containing the track " To Build A Home" by Cinematic Orchestra. It was recorded together with Patrick Watson, a Canadian songwriter and band leader of "Patrick Watson" band!
Not a typical Cinematic Orchestra track, but it really tends to be my favourite! The piano, the voice, the lyrics, the strings near the end, all hit you straight in the heart..

I just can't stop listening to it..Why did I listen to in the first place??? I think it haunts me now..I can't help myself really!

It's the first track of Cinematic Orchestra's latest album called "Ma Fleur" whick was released in 2007. Great album and one I long for seeing live..

There's also a video of the track played live on Youtube. You can see it here

Figurant (In Yesterday's Play) live@ Small Music Theatre

Στο προηγούμενο post έχω και σύνδεσμο για να κατεβάσει κανείς το "No Remorse" e.p.
Figurant.

And some things about me..
I've been writing music since I was 17 years old. Figurant (In Yesterday's Play) is my latest project.
myspace.com/figurantinyesterdaysplay
I think i'm deeply influenced by singers/songwriters of the 70's and post-rock/shoegaze/dreampop scenes. Except my guitar I use lots of effect pedals especially delays and loopers. Occasionally you will hear some trumpet, melodica, synths and drums in some of the tracks. At least I try to play all of them!
Previously I had a more poppy project called "One Lovely Evening!" referring to Sarah Records maybe. I had a more pop/bossanova sound then. You can listen to the tracks at:

I'm also a member of the bands "Hues And Separation" and "Adolf Plays The Jazz".

Just in case you want to listen to my work live, I'm playing at Small Music Theater in 9February.
See ya all

Myspace gems

I think it's time to write about some great bands that play what I call beautiful music! These are some bands I accidentally(or not) met on myspace. I think they have sooo much to say..

Rodrigo Jarque my friend from Chile. His music immensely touches the feelings...

Katrienne my friends in Italy, amazing music makes me shoegaze...

Amy Can Be they have the sweetest voice and autumn-tailored melodies...

Playground Noise my friends in Patra, Greece they really have something special, is it the voice, the brilliant melodies?you decide..

Orion Rigel Dommisse she's a singer/songwriter with a voice that breaks hearts..
